My Voice = Our Future

Join us on October 11, 2020, at 9:30am MYT (GMT+8) in discussing topics that advocate the rights of the girl and why our voices should be heard to obtain the equality we are aiming for.

With the theme My Voice, Our Equal Future, a culmination of different online activities will be held. To stimulate an interactive discussion of girls rights and to encourage discussion of the movement, please use the hashtags #MyVoiceOurEqualFuture #IDG2020 on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to emphasize and focus on different stories of challenges and successes the girl child has faced. Help us amplify their voices in this campaign.

International Day of the Girl Child

ST. BRIDGET SCHOOL will use our voices to fight for equality and rights of the girl child.

In countless instances, the girl child has been exposed to unreasonable discrimination and violence. They are silenced and caged with their natural rights are refused. The exclusion of girls is rooted in institutional oppression, structural gender discrimination, systematic gender abuse, and patriarchal power structures of supremacy.

We shall acknowledge that each and every girl should be guaranteed to enable their rights and voices as individuals, as women, and as members of society. Let us strive to establish a community wherein the needs of every girl is fulfilled, their voices are heard, and especially their rights are valued and respected. With this, girls can make a difference in society that will result in a better place.

As Malala Yousafzai said, “I raise up my voice — not so I can shout but so that those without a voice can be heard. We cannot succeed when half of us are held back.”

Our NEW breed of Student Leaders! Congratulations!

The votes are close, your voices were heard, and thus, a new set of officers is formed. We would like to congratulate the new members of the Council of Student Officers for SY. 2020-2021! Thank you all for casting your votes!

We would also like to congratulate those who ran for a position this year, that even if they didn’t gain a spot, they still had the courage to face up their fears head on and fought.

And with that, may these officers lead us for a successful yet meaningful year.
